Experienced designers looking to take on a formal leadership role can either continue on the path of an individual contributor or change track to become a people manager. But how do you actually make that transition happen? In this session, we’ll review your portfolio to discuss how evidence of leadership is reflected there. We can also address more general questions about this transition, such as how to decide on the right leadership role for you, what the tradeoffs are, and how you might collect relevant leadership experience informally as you prepare for this significant career step.
